Don Mark Estes completed his education in Texas Tech university in the area of Microbiology in the yr. 1982 and in Texas A&M University in the area of Genetics during the yr. 1988. He worked as postdoctoral Fellow/Instructor in University of Texas Health science centre at San Antonio in the yr. 1992. At present he is Fred L. Davison Chair in Biomedical Sciences-University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, Dept. of Infectious Diseases, Athens, GA 30606. He received many Awards and other academic endeavors from the year 1981 to 2005. He is the Member of many National and International Committees, Councils, Panels, and Societies.
My Research interests are in the use of high throughput protective antigen discovery methods such as expression library immunization (ELI) in collaboration with investigators at Arizona State University for use in vaccines to protect against potential threat agents. Genome based approaches are currently in use for a model bacterial pathogen.
