Biography :

David McMillan is a Professor of Finance at the University of Stirling, UK. He has previously held a similar position at the University of St Andrews, UK. His research interests include empirical finance, with focus on asset pricing, volatility and forecasting asset returns. He has published widely on these topic in Internationally respected peer-reviewed journals.

Biography :

Dr. Khaled Aljifi, associate professor of accountancy, earned his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester. He joined the FBE faculty in 2001. His teaching interests focus on financial accounting. Professor Aljifri has published in Business, finance and accounting journals, including the European Accounting Review, Advances in Accounting, International Business Review, Accounting Educator’s Journal, Journal of Applied Accounting Research and Managerial Auditing Journal. He is currently involved in a major multi-disciplinary research project investigating the effect of corporate governance in states with varying ownership structures (an international comparison of emerging and western-like markets). In 2004, he received “the Best Individual Research Project Award.” He was also the recipient of “the Best Performance Award” in Teaching in 2005, the “FBE merits” in 2007, the “Best Performance Award in Research” in 2009, and the “Outstanding Research Award” in 2010.

Biography :

Sanjaya Singh Gaur is an Associate Professor of Sales and Marketing at Auckland University of Technology. His experience in academia spans over two decades and includes research, consulting, teaching and training. He has taught and conducted research at BITS Pilani, ISM Dhanbad, SPJIMR Mumbai & IIT Bombay in India, the University of Hoseo and SIT University in South Korea, Linköping University in Sweden, Westphalian Wilhelms University of Muenster in Germany and Stepehen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in USA. Dr Gaur has also been consultant to several multinational companies including GlaxoSmithKline, AMO, Johnson & Johnson, HSBC, Ranbaxy Laboratories, RFCL, Geologistics India, KMPL, SGS and Godrej & Boyce. He has published books titled “Board Characteristics and Firm Performance: Evidence from New Zealand”, "Statistical Methods for Practice and Research – A Guide to Data Analysis Using SPSS" and "Event Marketing and Management". Some of his research has appeared in journals such as Journal of Management Studies, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, The International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research, Managing Service Quality, Journal of Services Research, The Marketing Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics and Asian Journal of Marketing among others.

Dr. Mayada Abdel-Aziz Youssef is currently an Assistant Professor at the Accounting Department, Faculty of Business & Economics, United Arab Emirates University, U.A.E. She is also a Lecturer (on leave) at the Accounting Department, Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration, Helwan University, Egypt. She has got her Ph.D. in Accounting & Finance from Manchester Business School, Manchester University, Manchester, U.K., in 2005. Her research interests include management accounting change and electronic commerce. She published a number of research papers in this interdisciplinary field of study. Her teaching interests include management accounting, cost accounting, accounting information systems, principles of financial accounting, and intermediate accounting. She taught some parts of CIA & CMA programs at UAE University. She was a consultant for Egypt Education Reform Project, Ministry of Education, Egypt in 2007- 2008.

Biography :

Odysseas Moschidis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Marketing and Operation Management of University of Macedonia, Greece, Applied Statistics with emphasis in Business Administration. He graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His postgraduate studies are in the field of Applied Statistics and Applied Mathematics and he holds a Ph.D “Contribution to the study of scales evaluation with the method of multidimensional data analysis” from the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia, Greece. He has participated in several research projects working on the areas of evaluating business data and market research and multidimensional statistical analysis. His research interests include the areas of scales evaluation, multidimensional statistical analysis and evaluation of business data and market research. He has authored chapters and numerous publications in international journals and conferences.

Yu Gao is an assistant professor in Accounting at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, U.S. She graduated from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, U.S., with a Ph.D. degree in Accounting and an MBA degree in 2007. Her research interests include financial accounting, regulation, and auditing, with focus on debt markets and information intermediaries. Her papers have been presented in numerous international conferences and appear in Journal of Accounting Research, and International Review of Economics and Finance. Professor Lam currently is the associate director of the EMBA program at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has over 23 years of marketing and general management experience at P&G, McDonald’s, PepsiCo, and Coca-Cola. He received Ph.D. in Marketing, MBA and Bachelor of Science degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Master of Science degree in financial management from the University of London. He has published papers in the Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, the Journal of Operational Research Society, the Journal of Database Marketing and Customer Strategy Management.
