Aerodynamics is the way air moves around things. The rules of aerodynamics explain how an airplane is able to fly. Anything that moves through air reacts to aerodynamics. A rocket blasting off the launch pad and a kite in the sky react to aerodynamics.

Aircraft Flight Mechanics

Flight mechanics is the application of Newton’s laws (F=ma and M=Iα) to the study of vehicle trajectories (performance), stability, and aerodynamic control. There are two basic problems in airplane flight mechanics: airplane performance, stability and control characteristics and performance, stability, and control characteristics, The latter is called airplane sizing and is based on the definition of a standard mission profile. For commercial airplanes including business jets, the mission legs are take-off, climb, cruise, descent, and landing.

Fundamentals of astrodynamics, focusing on the two-body orbital initial-value and boundary-value problems with applications to space vehicle navigation and guidance for lunar and planetary missions, including both powered flight and midcourse maneuvers. Rocketry

Rocketry may refer to the design, construction, launching and operation of rockets. High-power rockets are defined as rockets flown using commercially available motors ranging from H to O class. Amateur rocketry, sometimes known as experimental rocketry or amateur experimental rocketry, is a hobby in which participants experiment with fuels and make their own rocket motors, launching a wide variety of types and sizes of rockets. Amateur rocketeers have been responsible for significant research into hybrid rocket motors, and have built and flown a variety of solid, liquid, and hybrid propellant motors.

Unmanned-Vehicles

Unmanned aircraft systems or remote piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) into civil aviation has been described as being as significant to this industry sector as the advent of the jet engine. One commentator goes even further and suggests that the UAS is arguably the greatest innovation in commercial aviation since the Wright brothers' Flyer. Compared with the challenges that accompany the introduction of any new technologically advanced aircraft, the integration of UAS operations into unsegregated civilian airspace present far greater challenges.
