Aishah Ali is a registered nurse, midwife and public health nurse. Aishah has a Master of Public Health (USA) and Doctorate in Public Health (New Zealand). Aishah was a founding member of the first faculty of Nursing in Malaysia who developed a Bachelor of Nursing’s curriculum. She is a teacher, clinical supervisor for nursing and medical students. She held several administrative posts within and outside university. Aishah has published papers, books, chapters in books, book reviewer and contributed to medical columns in a Malaysia newspaper. Akiko Kondo was born in Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Dr. NeSmith is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiological and Technological Nursing at Georgia Regents University and has nearly 25 years of experience in trauma, emergency, and disaster nursing. Having obtained her Doctor of Philosophy degree with a focus on translational and interdisciplinary research, Dr. NeSmith�s�federally-funded grants focus on the effects of lifetime chronic stress on the inflammatory response and how it impacts healing and vulnerability to complications following acute life-threatening injury. Dr. NeSmith�s research will lead to advances in tailoring individual treatments to prevent and improve acute outcomes of trauma.�Dr. NeSmith is also an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and applies her skills to research-focused role implementation in collaboration with her clinical scientist partners within the Level 1 trauma center at her institution. In collaboration with her research team, Dr. NeSmith has multiple trauma-related publications and nationally-presented abstracts, and co-founded the Trauma Interdisciplinary Group for Research.

Dr. Zanchetta teaches community health nursing. Eunjung kim is an associate professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing. He obtained my Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001. Since then, he has conducted 7 university-funded or NIH-funded studies. He also practices as a pediatric nurse practitioner at a local family clinic, where he provide advice related to parenting and child mental health to Korean immigrant children and their parents.
His long-term research agenda is to establish a self-sustainable, faith-based, culturally and linguistically relevant child mental health promotion intervention in Korean churches. As the first step of achieving this goal, he received an R21 to pilot-test the Korean Parent Training Program to decrease the mental health disparity in Korean immigrant children. This project addresses two social determinants of health (i.e., culture and early childhood development) and their impact on minority child mental health disparities in Korean immigrant children.

Mikki Meadows-Oliver is an Assistant Professor at the Yale University School of Nursing. She is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner and holds a joint clinical appointment at the Pediatric Lead Poisoning Prevention Program at Yale New Haven Hospital. Meadows-Oliver earned a PhD from the University of Connecticut and joint Masters’ degrees in Nursing and Public Health from Yale University.
