About the Journal

Impact Factor: 0.53*
Electrical and Electronic systems is the branch of physics, engineering and technology dealing with electrical circuits that involve active electrical components such as vacuum tubes, transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, and associated passive interconnection technologies. The journal provides an open access platform for theoretical and empirical peer-reviewed articles, which contributes to advance the understanding of phenomena related to all aspects of study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism.
Open Access systems have long been portrayed as the most constructive and effective tool for dissipation of the information for the betterment of the society. The ease of access of the information encourages more readers internationally.
Journal of Electrical & Electronic Systems being an academic journal publishes original papers which are of significant reference value in the arena of electrical and electronic systems. The scope of the journal encompasses Electrical engineering, Wireless communication systems, Biosensors & actuators, Photonics & Biophotonics, Audio & digital signal processing, Wireless sensor networks, LED & detectors, Solid state lighting, Spintronics, Quantum electronics, Photovoltaic & solar energy, Active & passive filters, Pattern recognition, Non-linear microscopy & ultrafast spectroscopy, Advanced computer architecture, Electric & magnetic fields, Power distribution networks & power losses, Renewable energy sources, Adaptive arrays, Electromagnetic wave theory, Electromagnetic inverse problems, Surfaceplasmonics & nanophotonics, Electromagnetism, Integrated Electro-optical devices, Communication systems & networks, DC-DC Converters, Semiconductors & transistors, Microelectronics & nanoelectronics, Digital & analog VLSI, Smart antennas & beam forming, Computational electromagnetics, Direction of arrival estimation, Power electronics and Electric drives, Neural networks, Network theory, Modeling and computation, Protection devices, Distribution systems, FACTS, Electrical machines, Artificial intelligence. The journal is a Scholarly Open Access journal which publishes original research papers, review papers, short communications, technical notes, case reports, book reviews and conference reports.
This scientific journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal and the editorial office promises a peer review process for the submitted manuscripts using Editorial Tracking System for quality in the peer review process which plays the central role in Open Access journals. Review is performed by the eminent editorial board members of the required expertise and all papers are peer-reviewed by at least two independent referees for the acceptance of any citable manuscript.

Capacitor

Transient current in power system is very common factor, due to many switching operations. This paper focusing on recovery capacitor switching transient has been proposed for system protection.

Circuits

It is very important for any circuit to dissipate low power. As the low power dissipation circuits are most popular now a days when the scaling of the circuit increases the leakage power also increases rapidly in the circuit. So, for decreasing these kinds of leakages and to provide a better power efficiency there are many types of power gating techniques.

Coal Consumption

Mineral deposit containing combustible substances which is considered to be a fossil fuel. Coal is formed from plants that have been fossilized through oxidation. The end result is a black hard substance that gives off carbon dioxide when burned.

Contingency Analysis

In deregulation power market system security is one of the challenging tasks due to competition and open access network. The security appraisal is an essential task as it gives knowledge about the system state in the event of contingency. Contingency analysis of power system is to predict the line outage, generator outage and to keep the system secure and reliable by using full Newton‟s method.

Current

Current is a flow of electrical charge carriers, usually electrons or electron-deficient atoms. The common symbol for current is the uppercase letter I.

Directional Microphone

Some microphones are designed to hear equally in all directions (omnidirectional), and some are designed to be more sensitive in certain directions. Directional microphones can be a big advantage when such a microphone is used in a hearing aid or in an Assistive Listening Device (ALD), because it can be used to enhance some sound that you need to hear (such as speech from someone you are talking with) and to diminish background noise.

Dynamic Stabilizer

Dynamic stabilization refers to the body's ability to support the movements you make. Dynamic stabilization exercises target your core posture muscles. By keeping your trunk steady as you move one or more of your extremities, you can begin to develop your dynamic stabilization.

Electrical Engineering

Electrical and Electronic systems is the branch of physics, engineering and technology dealing with electrical circuits that involve active electrical components such as vacuum tubes, transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, and associated passive interconnection technologies.

Electricity

Electricity means only one thing: it refers to the amount of imbalance between quantities of electrons and protons. It can also be defined as flow of electron.

Electromagnetism

Electromagnetism is produced when an electrical current flows through a simple conductor such as a piece of wire or cable. A small magnetic field is created around the conductor with the direction of this magnetic field with regards to its “North” and “South” poles being determined by the direction of the current flowing through the conductor.

Microphone Array

Microphone arrays consist of multiple microphones functioning as a single directional input device: essentially, an acoustic antenna. Using sound propagation principles, the principal sound sources in an environment can be spatially located and distinguished from each other. Distinguishing sounds based on the spatial location of their source is achieved by filtering and combining the individual microphone signals.

Omnidirectional Microphone

Omnidirectional microphones are microphones that pick up sound with equal gain from all sides or directions of the microphone. This means that whether a user speaks into the microphone from the front, back, left or right side, the microphone will record the signals all with equal gain.

Oscillator

The term oscillator is used to describe a circuit which will produce a continuing, repeated waveform without input other than perhaps a trigger. There are many ways to create oscillator circuits.

Power Analysis

It is the ability to find a statistically significant difference when the null hypothesis is in fact false, in other words power is your ability to find a difference when a real difference exists. The power of a study is determined by three factors: the sample size, the alpha level, and the effect size.

Power System Stabilizers

Power System Stability Power system stability is the ability of an electric power system, for a given initial operating condition, to regain a state of operating equilibrium after being subjected to a physical disturbance, with most system variables bounded so that practically the entire system remains intact.

Quaternary Logics

The concept of SWSFET was introduced by Jain et al. [1]. SWSFETs offer multiple channels in a single transistor. In this paper we are discussing multichannel SWSFETs and presenting efficient quaternary logic gates and building blocks

Robot Audition

Our hearing sense allows us to perceive all kinds of sounds (speech, music, phone ring, closing a door, etc.) in our world, whether we are moving or not. To operate in human and natural settings, autonomous mobile robots should be able to do the same. This requires the robots not just to detect sounds, but also to localise their origin, separate the different sound sources (since sounds may occur simultaneously), and process all of this data to extract useful information about the world.

Semiconductor

A hybrid model is proposed in order to use the design of compensating semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) nonlinearity by adjusting cavity dispersion in a SOA -fiber ring mode – locked laser.

Sensor

Sensors are hardware components that can provide your computer with information about your computer's location, surroundings, and more. Programs on your computer can access information from sensors, and then store or use it to help you with everyday tasks or to improve your computer experience.

Spectrum

Virulence surveys of Puccinia hordei of barley were conducted in the main and off crop seasons of 2010/11 and 2011/12 in West Shewa, Wellega (western part of the country) and Arsi (central part of the country) zones of Oromiya region, Ethiopia to determine the virulence spectrum of the pathogen, and identify the effective resistance genes to the pathotypes.

*Unofficial 2014 Impact Factor was established by dividing the number of articles published in 2012 and 2013 with the number of times they are cited in 2014 based on Google search and the Scholar Citation Index database. If ‘X’ is the total number of articles published in 2012 and 2013, and ‘Y’ is the number of times these articles were cited in indexed journals during 2014 then, impact factor = Y/X
