About the Journal

The Journal Fungal Genomics and Biology includes investigations of fungi and their traditional allies that relate structure and function to growth, reproduction, morphogenesis, differentiation, its role as pathogen and parasites, its applications in various fields like industry and agriculture and medicinal uses. This journal especially welcomes studies of gene organization and expression and of developmental processes at the cellular, sub-cellular and molecular levels. The journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal and the editorial office promises a peer review process for the submitted manuscripts for the quality of publishing.

The journal is using Editorial Manager System for quality in peer review process Editorial Manager System is an online manuscript submission, review and tracking systems. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Fungal Genomics and Biology-Open Access or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the system, hopefully to publication. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process.

The scientific journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal developments in the mode of original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, etc. and the editorial office promises a peer review process for the submitted manuscripts for the quality of publishing. The journal of Fungal Genomics and Biology - Open Access is one of the best open access journal of scholarly publishing.

Fungal Nail Infection

Fungus can infect any part of the body like skin, nail, etc. In nail infection fungus grow around the nail of a finger or toe. The nail become swollen yellow colored and is lifted off from nail bed. Fungus grows due to moist surrounding around the nail, then there is a separation between nail and skin. Sufferings from onychomycosis do not feel any pain bur suffer from psychological problems due to unusual appearance of the nail.

Fungal Diseases in Plants

Nowadays diseases has becoming a worldwide problem and becoming highly concerning factor. Not only in human beings, animals but also in plants it is becoming a problem with various factors like fungi, bacteria, viruses, etc.,. Fungi represent the major pathogenic micro-organisms that infect plants, causing numerous. They constitute the largest number of plant pathogens and are responsible for a range of serious plant diseases. Fungi are parasitic on almost all groups of eukaryotic organisms. Parasitic fungi are best known through their extensive damage to plants, especially cultivated plants which causes fungal diseases in plants.

Antifungal Drugs and Market Analysis

Antifungal drugs  cures and eliminates fungal pathogens from the body. They can be used to cure infections caused in any part of the body. As the diseases due to fungus is increasing day by day the market for antifungal drugs are also in great demand and become competitive. The main challenge for the market is to produce effective drugs at affordable cost .

Advance Treatment for Yeast Infection

Generally for yeast infection drugs are available in the market which can be taken without the prescription of doctor. There are many natural remedies for the treatment of vaginal infection .But nowadays many advanced treatment for yeast infection like antifungal drugs, lotions, etc. are emerging in the market.

Fungal Diseases

Fungi became the major diseases causing agent that can affect any part of the body like skin, hair, etc.Fungi that are commonly found in the environment affect which are not too dangerous but can be harmful. Children are more prone to the diseases due to weak immune system. Skin infection are commonly infection among fungal diseases.

Fungal Dermatitis

In fungal dermatitis condition the skin becomes red, itchy, swollen with small blisters due to to the growth of fungi on keratin protein which helps to build up our skin, hair and nails. An allergic-type reaction take place accompanied with symptoms like fever, asthma, and very dry skin, dandruff in the hair bearing areas like scalp, neck, upper chest, etc.

Fungal Pathogens

Pathogens are infectious agent like virus, bacterium, prion, fungus, viroid that are responsible for the spread of disease in the host. Pathogenic fungus looks like normal moulds which can cause life threatening diseases. Many types of pathogens are present like candida, aspergillus, Cryptococcus, etc. The diseases include smallpox, influenza, mumps, measles, chickenpox, Ebola, and rubella.

Fungal Enzymes and Applications

More than 50% of the enzymes are produced by the fungi. They play a key role as a source of biological diversity and for the production of industrial enzyme products. Enzymes are the proteins which degrade complex compounds into simple sugars. These fungal enzymes are well suited for industrial applications for several purposes. They also control the soil enzyme activity.

Major Disease Statistics

* 2015 Journal Impact Factor was established by dividing the number of articles published in 2013 and 2014 with the number of times they are cited in 2015 based on Google search and the Scholar Citation Index database. If 'X' is the total number of articles published in 2013 and 2014, and 'Y' is the number of times these articles were cited in indexed journals during 2015 then, impact factor = Y/X
